Extended seasons
After winter's last cold touches, a raised garden bed will warm up faster than the surrounding soil, letting you plant earlier and get a longer growing season.
As standard our garden beds come without a base or sealing of the seams, but they can be produced to have a base and be sealed so that they can be water tight.
Our steel garden beds are available in the same colours as our water tanks - the complete range of modern Colorbond® steel colours including traditional galvanised finish are available at no extra cost and custom paints can be accomadated for an additional fee.
For the majority of sizes of our garden beds there isn't a need for any internal bracing, but above certain dimensions it is recommended. It is also required where the garden bed will be used to retain water in the modline, slimline and square shapes.
When buying a garden bed online, the preset base option will be for a garden bed with an added base, sealing to retain water, internal support rods (if required), and an outlet and ball valve combo.
This would make them perfect wicking garden beds or outdoor fish ponds. For a custom blend of these additions, you can also get a custom quote.
Aquaplate steel is the greatest innovation in steel water tanks. It is a food grade, plastic polymer coating that prevents the water from contacting the sheet metal, ensuring your water tank won't rust and that no metallic elements or taste get into your water.
